The Wichita Falls Firefighters Benevolent Fund is committed to providing support to their member firefighters and their families when tough times hit. The Wichita Falls Professional Firefighters Association is composed of the men and women of The City of Wichita Falls, TX Fire Department. The WFPFFA are proud members of the International Association of Fire Fighters as IAFF Local 432, and are members of the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters as well.

Pendergast Foundation Receives $10,000 Grant
The Pendergast Elementary Community Foundation is located in Phoenix, AZ and is committed to inspire, promote and support extracurricular programs, charitable health and wellness services, financial assistance and scholarship programs for students and teachers. The foundation has contributed over $200,000 in scholarships to aspiring teachers at the iTeachAZ program at ASU Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.
United Veterans Council of Monterey County Receives $10,000 Grant
Since 1989, the United Veterans Council of Monterey County has been working to promote the common good and welfare of all Veterans, their dependents, widows and orphans. They provide resources to Veterans who are struggling; who are in need of a little assistance with housing, repairs, food, clothing and utilities. Homes for Heroes, in conjunction with their local real estate specialist, has awarded the United Veterans Council of Monterey County a hero grant through the Homes for Heroes Foundation to help support their efforts with local Veterans and their families.

Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation Receives $10,000 Grant
The Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation is dedicated to the Clackamas County law enforcement community by providing encouragement, information, companionship, support, assistance and aid to help them and their families during times of personal or family crises; especially when injured or killed in the line of duty. They also coordinate acts of charity and good will in the community, educate the public about the profession of law enforcement and general community safety, and they also support programs that help children and youth who are in need, or at risk.

No Barriers Warriors Program Receives $10,000 Grant
At this year’s Success Camp, a conference for Homes for Heroes affiliate members, our keynote speaker was J.R. Martinez, who inspired us with his message of survival and resilience. At the end of his speech, we and the Homes for Heroes Foundation, surprised him with a grant of $10,000 for the No Barriers Warriors Program. No Barriers is close to Martinez’s heart for its work with differently-abled people.

Cover My 6 Receives $10,000 Grant
At this year’s Success Camp, a conference for Homes for Heroes affiliates, our Homes for Heroes Foundation unveiled a couple of grants for organizations that serve our heroes. Cover My 6, who helps veterans with a wide variety of services, was the recipient of one of the grants. Jay Flynn, our outreach coordinator presented the check to Ben Fox, president of Cover My 6.
