LeeAnn Rasachak is Chief Executive Officer of WomenVenture, a Community Development Financial Institution, US Small Business Administration designated Women’s Business Center, and non-profit serving women and minority entrepreneurs and business owners. Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, WomenVenture employs 30 people and serves the 16-county Twin Cities metro area and western Wisconsin. In October 2021, Rasachak was named CEO of WomenVenture after serving on its Board of Directors for three years and 20 years working in the private sector as a Communications, Digital and Marketing executive for Fortune 1000 companies including RBC Wealth Management, Securian Financial, TE Connectivity, Sleep Number, and Macy’s.
Rasachak is an enthusiastic and pragmatic leader transforming economic development and access for women and underserved communities. She is known for building and bridging results-driven teams through a collaborative and inclusive approach, she has a proven record of effectively leading initiatives and programs focused on increasing small business and entrepreneurship growth through training, development, affordable access to capital, sponsorship, and community support. Rasachak has a track record of driving policy and cultural change to create opportunities for women and people of color in the workplace. She is inspired by creating meaningful impact in business and local communities.
Rasachak is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where she earned degrees in Mass Communications & Journalism – Public Relations and General Business Management. She is the first in her family to earn a college degree and second generation Laotian American. More recently, Rasachak earned her MBA at Hamline University and completed a Diversity & Inclusion certification through Cornell University. She is also Dare to Lead™ Trained. While in the private sector, Rasachak was recognized as top 25 “Rising Stars of Innovation Under 40” by LIMRA, a research and development organization for the life insurance industry, honoring young professionals who have introduced an innovative approach to a business challenge in a time of technology advances, shifting demographics and consumer expectations, and regulatory change.
Rasachak lives in a suburb of St. Paul with her partner, their four children, and Labrador retriever. She enjoys traveling the world, cooking, entertaining, and volunteering at her children’s school fundraising and teaching Art Adventure through the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
