Homes for Heroes Foundation Surpasses $2 Million in Grants to Support Heroes Across the Nation

The Homes for Heroes Foundation surpasses $2M in grants awarded to hero-serving nonprofits, community organizations, and heroes in need across the country. For more than two decades, the mission behind Homes for Heroes remains the same: give back to the heroes who give so much to their communities every single day. Now, that mission has reached a major milestone.

The grant that pushed the Foundation beyond the $2 million mark is the final installment of its Legacy Grant commitment to the National Center for Healthy Veterans, an organization dedicated to helping veterans transition successfully from military service to civilian life through community, healing, and purpose.

At the same time, the Foundation supports the families of fallen officers in Chicago, reinforcing its commitment to standing beside heroes and their families during moments of unimaginable loss.

This milestone represents far more than a dollar amount. It reflects thousands of lives impacted through housing assistance, emergency financial relief, mental health support, veteran services, community rebuilding efforts, and direct hero support programs nationwide.

This specific grant supports the family of Officer Bartholomew, who was recently tragically killed in the line of duty, and Officer Crespo who was severely injured in the same incident in Chicago. It is intended to provide immediate support and relief to families facing emotional and financial hardship after devastating loss. Our Foundation is committed to helping heroes and their loved ones during times of crisis.
