Vote for the 2025 Community Impact Award
Your Vote Helps Decide Who Receives a Grant Worth $10,000 from the Homes for Heroes Foundation in 2025!
The Homes for Heroes Foundation started small in 2009, giving anywhere from $100-$500 to individual heroes who needed help with housing expenses like rent or utilities.
Since then, we have come a long way, transitioning from helping individual heroes to established nonprofit organizations located across the country. These existing nonprofits had already identified needs in their communities, and knew how to best put our grants to use to help heroes where and how they needed it the most.
Our Community Impact Award, now in its 4th year, is a chance to shine a light on the hard work local nonprofits put day in and day out in their community helping Heroes in need in the areas of Housing Crisis, Disaster Relief, and Health and Family.
Here’s how you can vote:

Nominated by Homes for Heroes Real Estate Specialist Patrick Reese
Building A Safer Evansville (BASE) exists to serve and support the heroes in our community—our police, fire, EMS, veterans, dispatchers, teachers, and military families, who sacrifice daily to keep others safe. Our mission includes stepping in to provide emergency financial assistance and support for housing stability during these times. Whether it is assisting a first responder injured in the line of duty, helping a veteran’s family bridge a crisis, or supporting a teacher or dispatcher struggling after a traumatic event, BASE directs nearly every dollar raised back into helping those who serve.

Heroes Helping Heroes
