Day ten of the Homes for Heroes Twelve Days of Christmas Miracles delivers a gift in the Wichita Falls, TX area to the Quintanilla family. Homes for Heroes real estate specialist, Kim Roark, nominated the Quintanilla family to receive an unexpected $500 Christmas gift this year as a thank you for Nikki Quintanilla’s service to her country.
Nikki Quintanilla has served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. She was deployed several times overseas to the middle east with Special Forces.
Homes for Heroes takes time each holiday season, with the assistance of their affiliate real estate and mortgage specialists, to present special Christmas gifts to twelve American hero families during their Twelve Days of Christmas Miracles tradition. This year real estate specialist, Kim Roark, was selected to present a $500 gift to Nikki Quintanilla and her son, Nathan.
Kim called Nikki and invited her to hot chocolate at McDonalds very near Sheppard Air Force Base for her convenience. Nikki had no idea what was about to happen. As they were catching up and sharing how things were going, Kim told Nikki she had a surprise for her.
Nikki could not believe that Kim had $500 for her. She was so grateful for the Christmas gift from Homes for Heroes. She told Kim that the house she recently purchased has cost more than anticipated, and her “whole” family was planning to visit over the holidays. As we all know, in addition to the good times together, entertaining family over the holidays means more people, more food and more expenses. This is where the $500 would lend some financial relief this holiday season, and help assure Nikki’s family would have a wonderful time together.
“What a joy to deliver $500 cash to Nikki so she could use it as she saw fit. No strings attached. No judgement. No specific reason. It was simply because Homes for Heroes loves people,” said Kim Roark.
Nikki, we all thank you for your service to our beloved country. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and Nathan from all of us at Homes for Heroes.
