Homes for Heroes wants to share this interesting article from KCMblog!

Sense of Urgency?

It’s been hard to fault home buyers who haven’t rushed to buy a home, now that there is no longer any Federal Tax Credit. I mean, if you read this blog with any consistency, we all know that home prices are going to continue to tumble, and there is no indication of interest rates climbing anytime soon; so, who can criticize a home buyer (or any buyer of anything for that matter) for not buying when they can get it cheaper by waiting. And when you add in the flood of inventory looming, there also means that there is a greater selection to be had by waiting.

I believe many real estate agents and loan professionals actually agree with these waiting buyers which is why they can’t help the buyer “off the fence” and into a home. They think buyers should wait. Today, I need to remind you of two compelling reasons why.

Homes for Heroes is happy to introduce our affiliate, Dede Nofziger!

Dede (Dee) Nofziger is an Ohio Licensed REALTOR® with more than 7 years of real estate experience as a former administrative assistant and now agent, assistant manager, and trainer.  Dee Nofziger is also a proud mother to two military sons. One with the Ohio Army National Guard, seeing 15 months of deployment in Iraq and whose unit is soon to deploy to Afghanistan, and the other an active Sailor with the United States Navy stationed in Mayport, Florida with many tours at sea under his belt. Dee is blessed to have real heroes in her immediate family, and recognizes the sacrifices they have made.

(For history buffs out there, Dee Nofziger’s brother-in-law is a retired Navy pilot, who was one of the pilots to fly the “missing man formation” over John F. Kennedy’s funeral.)

As a licensed REALTOR® serving the Toledo and Northwest Ohio area, Dee Nofziger is very committed to making home-buying and selling affordable during these tough economic times for the area’s military, veterans, law enforcement, fire and rescue, health, and education professions, and others, many faced with cuts in pay and even lay-offs. Dee firmly believes that “Service Deserves It’s Rewards” is more than a motto; it’s the community’s way of saying “Thank You” to our Heroes.

“Our heroes are a value part of our daily lives. Being a community hero is an admirable chosen profession and I am blessed to have so many heroes in my community. You are our teachers, police officers, fire fighters, nurses/physicians, active or retired military personnel and clergy — and I am delighted to have this opportunity to be your real estate consultant.”

Homes for Heroes would like to spread the word about the Cops and Kids program!

The Cops and Kids program was started several years ago by St. Paul Police Officers. Every year, our cops go out and buy Christmas gifts (with money donations). Santa, Mrs. Clause and his helpers distribute these gifts to every child that is staying at Gillette and Children’s Hospital in St. Paul over the holiday sea…son. The motorcycle run was started in 2005 to help purchase Christmas gifts for the kids.
